Founded in 1955 by developer Bob Higgins, Sunmor Estates stands as a distinguished Palm Springs neighborhood celebrated for its unique architectural design, a collaboration between renowned architects Donald Wexler (noted for the Palm Springs International Airport) and Richard Harrison. The initial 11 homes were meticulously crafted by Wexler and Harrison. In 1957, the Alexander Construction Company assumed leadership, engaging William Krisel to design homes in adjacent land tracts referred to as the Alexander Homes. Additional tracts, designed by Jack Meiselman, were introduced in 1960 and 1962, showcasing a distinctive style compared to the initial two tracts. Sunmor Estates encompasses a total of 141 homes.
