Sunmor, Palm Springs
Sunmor Estates, established in 1955 by developer Bob Higgins, is a Palm Springs neighborhood known for its distinctive mid-century modern design. Originally crafted by architects Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison, who also designed the Palm Springs International Airport, the neighborhood began with 11 homes. In 1957, the Alexander Construction Company took over, bringing in William Krisel to design additional homes in adjacent tracts. Further developments by architect Jack Meiselman in the 1960s added unique styles, bringing the total number of homes in Sunmor Estates to 141.
